SOLUTION: This content providing system 1 is configured of a providing device 11 which provides the contents and a plurality of receiving devices 21 for receiving contents provided by the providing device 11. The providing device 11 provides the contents through a first transmission path by the Internet to the receiving device 21, and when the congesting state of the first transmission path which provides the contents exceeds a reference value, the transmission path for transmitting the contents is switched so that the contents can be transmitted through a second transmission path by radio different from the first transmission path.
