A track laying machine including a wagon 1 having a load supporting surface 3, lifting means having a jib 9 to load and unload a load onto and off the wagon, the jib 9 being carried by an extendible hydraulic mast 10 mounted on said wagon and extensible to move the jib 9 between a stowed position and an extended raised operational position. The free end of the jib 14 remote from the extensible mast 10 has a ground engaging support member 15 adapted to support the free end of the jib 14. The jib 9 is further arranged to comprise a hoist 20 movable along the jib 9, which includes an elongate beam that is adapted to engage with the load at spaced intervals. |
