An air pump is provided to reduce the vibration or vibration noise and/or to prevent chattering of the contact of switch for sensing intake/discharge air pressure. An air pump comprises a crank-shaped mount base(1) of metal material in which a pump chamber formed by diaphragms and an electric motor(2) meet at right angle, an eccentric cam(3) fixed to an output shaft of the electric motor, a cylindrical opening formed in the eccentric cam in parallel with the output shaft of the electric motor, and a balancer(4) equipped in the opening.
