<p>The display device has a display unit (2) e.g. LCD, for displaying a map section (10). Selection units are provided for determining a partial adjustment range (15) of the map section represented from the display unit such that the selection units have a maneuver point (17) and/or a vehicle location (13) or occurrence spot. Controlling units (3) are provided for controlling the display unit such that a route (12), the location and a petrol station (14) contained in selected adjustment range are represented opposite to the remaining map section in an emphasized manner. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling map representation from a display unit.</p> |
