The secateurs 10 include a chain 60 attached to a movable cutting blade 50. The chain is engaged by the toothed end 74 of a driving bar 70. A stationary cutting blade 30, with cutting surface 32, is mounted on a handle 20a. The stationary blade 30 has a sliding groove 34 and a retaining block 36. Blade 50 has a sliding groove 56 which receives retaining block 36, and a second retaining block 58 inserted into the first groove 34. The top of the driving arm 70 is pivoted 72 to the static blade 30. The movable cutting blade 50 is movable relative to the stationary blade 30 along the longitudinal axes of the sliding grooves 34, 56. The garden shears preferably include an anvil 40, and are used to lob branches. |
