A roof carrier bar is provided to reduce the entire weight without changing the exterior by forming a groove on the lining of a hollow pipe. A roof carrier bar installed to a vehicle includes a plurality of groove(20) formed along the length in the lining of a hollow pipe. The bar is made of an alloy. The alloy is constituted with Fe less than 0.2wt.%, Cu less than 0.1wt.%, Cr less than 0.1wt.%, Mg of 0.5~0.8wt.%, Si of 1.0~1.2wt.%, Mn of 0.1~0.2wt.%, Zn of 0.1~0.2wt.%, Sc less than 0.1wt.%, and residual aluminum.
