FIELD: coastal engineering; may be used in protection of cylindrical supports of permanent platforms and other hydraulic structures erected on shelf of seas with severe ice conditions. SUBSTANCE: device has ice-breaking attachment rigidly secured to the end of flexible member in the form of beam whose longitudinal axis is vertical. Located on the support below the level corresponding to the position of water surface for turning around the support is supporting ring provided with bracket having hole receiving free end of flexible member. Relation between mass and rigidly of device satisfies the condition given in the invention description. EFFECT: prevented occurrence of resonance phenomena in hydraulic structure in shattering of ice field. 3 dwg
