COOLING SYSTEM FOR A COMPUTER HAVING A WATERBLOCK WITH MICROCHANNELS THEREIN

A cooling apparatus for a computer having a water block of a micro-channel is provided to obtain the high heat-transfer performance in the water block, and maximize the heat transfer effect without the pressure loss in a radiator. A water block(10) comes in surface-contact with a heating source(5) of a computer and has a plurality of micro-channels therein to receive the heat from the heating source. A pump(20) supplies the refrigerant to the water block through a pipe. A reservoir tank(30) is connected to the front end of the pump through the pipe to store the refrigerant. A pin of a slit louver or super slit louver is mounted in a radiator(40) so that the high temperature refrigerant is radiated between the water block and reservoir tank. The water block has a header so that the flow of the refrigerant is uniform in the inlet and outlet.
