Road security barrier comprising deformable spacers

The security barrier has vertical posts (1) supporting a horizontal rail (B). The rail is attached to the posts by a bracket (31) which is flexible to absorb impact. The bracket allows the rail to move toward the post under impact for a limited distance, when the rail presses against a rigid rail (32) mounted directly on the posts. The impact is then further absorbed by bending of the posts.
