DIGITAL BROADCASTING RECEIVER AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

A digital broadcasting receiver and a method for controlling the same are provided to check data error easily and improve channel changing speed even in a mobile digital broadcast environment. A broadcast signal in which main service data and mobile service are included is received(S2710). A fast information channel(FIC) including current/next(C/N) indicating information and a transmission parameter channel(TPC) including identifying information distinguishing the update of the FIC are received from the broadcast signal(S2720). It is detected whether information transmitted to a corresponding FIC is information of a current M/H frame or information of a next M/H frame by using the C/N indicating information of the FIC(S2730).
