PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alcohol-based coating agent for an evaporative pattern having excellent residue resistance and high metal penetration resistance, and provided with the crack resistance of a coating film upon drying in a well balance. SOLUTION: The alcohol-based coating agent composition for an evaporative pattern comprises: (a) the refractory particles of at least one selected from obsidian, pearlite and pitchstone; and (b) scaly refractory particles in a specified weight ratio.
