A method and the gasket for casting the acrylic film are provided to manufacture the half height film of the thickness less than 1 mm with the fixed thickness by controlling the shrinkage of the gasket of the mold. A curing step of the method for casting the acrylic film, the material price of the acrylic film is injected in the space part formed with a pair of substrate and the gasket arranged between a pair of substrate, and is hardened. The shrinkage of gasket is 10~50% or greater after passing through the curing step, the thickness of the acrylic film is 1mm or less.
