PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a current value actually flowing in a steering assistant motor at high accuracy with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A motor current value detected by a motor current detection means R6 is sampled at the sampling starting timing when a switch means 9 is turned ON and is started to be held to a motor current holding part 7. The motor current value held to the motor current holding part 7 is taken-in to a control means 4 at the hold timing when the switch means 9 is turned OFF.
