摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control device capable of preventing a torque shock in a non-drive range associated with the increase of the idle rotation speed. SOLUTION: The engine control device releases a clutch by decreasing the hydraulic pressure in a hydraulic pressure control circuit according to a select operation to the non-drive range. The engine control device is equipped with a target idle setting means (S103) for setting a target idle rotation speed, a target idle correction means for increasing and correcting the target idle rotation speed so as to raise a catalyst temperature according to a vehicle operating state, a select operation detection means (S102) for detecting a select operation from a drive range to the non-drive range, a target idle rotation speed determination means (S104) for determining whether or not the target idle rotation speed is larger than a predetermined value after detecting the select operation to the non-drive range, and an actual idle rotation speed suppression means (S106) for limiting so that an actual idle rotation speed is smaller than a predetermined value when the target idle rotation speed is larger than the predetermined value.
