<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device wherein transition to bend alignment is easy, and to provide an electronic device. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal device 1 has a substrate 11, a substrate 31 disposed opposite to the substrate 11 and a liquid crystal layer 40 which is disposed between the substrates 11 and 31 and can take both alignment states of splay alignment and bend alignment. A plurality of gate lines 12, a plurality of source lines 14 formed so as to cross the gate lines 12 in plan view, TFT devices 20 and pixel electrodes 16 are formed on the liquid crystal layer 40 side of the substrate 11. A reflection film 18 is formed in a region along the gate lines 12 in plan view on the liquid crystal layer 40 side of the substrate 11 and a liquid crystal layer thickness adjusting layer 35 is formed in a region superposed on the reflection film 18 in plan view on the liquid crystal layer 40 side of the substrate 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
