<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light irradiator in which the tip of an electrode can always be arranged in a desired position with respect to a reflection mirror even when the discharge lamp is exchanged and a bulb of the discharge lamp can be mounted so that the bulb looks toward a predetermined direction. <P>SOLUTION: The light irradiator is provided with: the bar-shaped discharge lamp having a pair of electrodes inside the bulb thereof; a pair of bases fixed to both ends of the discharge lamp; the downspout-shaped reflection mirror for reflecting the light from the discharge lamp; and a pair of supporting members fit to a casing. An engaging part consisting of a hole or projection extending to the direction of a tube axis of the discharge lamp is formed on each of bases and the part to be engaged consisting of the projection or hole, which is engaged with the hole or projection formed on each of bases, is formed on each of supporting members. Since there is such a regulation that at least one of the engaging parts is engaged with the part to be engaged on the supporting members only when the discharge lamp is in a predetermined position in the rotative direction, the tip of the electrode can be arranged in the desired position with respect to the reflection mirror when the engaging part is engaged with the part to be engaged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
