PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission source base station specifying apparatus which is mounted in a mobile station and even when receiving, due to reduction in a reception field strength of a radio CH from a desired digital radio system, the same radio CH with a high reception field strength from a radio system different from the desired digital radio system, discriminates the radio system as the different radio system based on an identifier stored in the radio CH and specifies the radio CH from the desired digital radio system with a high reception field strength and performs switching. SOLUTION: An identifier is stored in a radio information channel "RICH" by a first storage section 31 and transmitted to a mobile station 4 as a radio signal F1. It is discriminated whether base station information corresponding to an identifier stored in the radio signal F1 is being stored in a second storage section 46. A specification section 50 specifies a radio signal F1 of which the transmission source base station is discriminated and of which the reception field strength is discriminated highest.
