<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag capable of being quickly inflated without using any inflator of a high output, and an airbag device equipped with the airbag. <P>SOLUTION: A normally open type vent hole 20 is formed in such a region of a rear panel 14 of the airbag 10 as expanded to a side closer to the center side of a steering wheel than a rim 50 of the steering wheel when the airbag 10 is inflated. An opening/closing type vent hole 22 is formed in a region which is expanded to the outer side of the steering wheel than the rim 50. The opening/closing type vent hole 22 is covered with a cover member 60. The cover member 60 and suspending strings 80 in the airbag 10 are connected through a tether 70. The cover member 60 overlaps the opening/closing type vent hole 22 from an inflation starting time to close the opening/closing type vent hole 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
