PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preplasticating type injection molding machine in which molten molding resin can be prevented from leaking from an aperture between the inner circumferential surface of an injection cylinder and the outer circumferential surface of an injection plunger at the proximal end of the injection cylinder, and the molding resin remaining in the aperture between the inner circumferential surface of the injection cylinder and the outer circumferential surface of the injection plunger at the proximal end of the injection cylinder can be easily discharged to outside. SOLUTION: The preplasticating type injection molding machine 1 comprises: the injection cylinder 21 in which an injection port 21a for injecting the molten molding resin is formed on the distal end part and a resin discharge path 21c for discharging the molding resin remaining in an inner space 21d to outside is formed on the proximal end; the injection plunger 23 which is inserted from the proximal end of the injection cylinder 21 into the inner space 21d; and a seal ring 27 which is made of high melting point resin having a melting point higher than that of the molding resin, is fitted onto the injection plunger 23 liquid-tightly and slidably and is fixed to the proximal end of the injection cylinder 21.
