PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a stray light-preventing black coating with ease, without causing faults such as cracks, around the optically ineffective ridge of an optical device manufactured by press molding. SOLUTION: A black coating for stray light-prevention is applied on an optically ineffective portion 12 of the outer circumference of an optical device 10 shaped using molds including a bottom mold 1, a barrel mold 3 and the like. In order to facilitate the application of the black coating, a surface roughness of≥Ra=0.1μm is transferred on the optically ineffective portion 12 with the mold surface of the bottom mold 1 or the barrel mold 3. Since a large surface roughness around the ridge part 13 may cause faults such as cracks, the surface roughness is graduated in a way that the two optically ineffective surfaces 14 across the ridge part 13 gets smaller toward the ridge part 13.
