<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal authentication equipment using a vein pattern for achieving personal authentication without generating any problem even when a near-infrared emission LED is not used by reducing the influence of interference rays of light when the rays of light under sunlight or the rays of light of a surrounding environment are strong. <P>SOLUTION: The fingers or palm of the hand are placed on a finger placement stand, and external rays of light in which near-infrared light components are sufficiently included while the light source of the sunlight or a surrounding environment is strong are received from the outside, and diffused and transmitted by a diffusion cover, and the external rays of light diffused and transmitted by the diffusion cover are used as a light source, and the external rays of light transmitted through the fingers or palm of the hand are received as detection rays of light, and the near-infrared external rays of light are transmitted by a near-infrared transmission filter, and the vein pattern of the fingers or palm of the hand is imaged by the near-infrared rays of light narrowed down by the infrared transmission filter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
