PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video reproducing apparatus for providing information relating to a specific program video image constituting a recorded program.

SOLUTION: The video reproducing apparatus 100 which is connected through a communication network to an ECG service provider 200 for providing information relating to programs and reproduces recorded program video images comprises: a specification information transmission part 130 for transmitting specification information specifying the program including a recorded specified program video image to the ECG service provider; an ECG scenario reception part 132 for receiving from the ECG service provider an ECG scenario related to the specified program among the ECG scenarios including the ECG scenarios relating to the respective program video images constituting the program and the schedule time of the respective program video images and stored in association with the programs; and a display reproduction control part 142 for controlling the display of the ECG scenario relating to the specific program video image in synchronism with the reproduction of the specified program video image on the basis of the schedule time of the program video image included in the ECG scenario.
