<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage battery capacity determination device in which a large-capacity load resistor for discharging the storage battery with an arbitrary current in a short time and a DC switch connecting the load resistor to the storage battery are dispensed with. <P>SOLUTION: The storage battery capacity determination device is a device for determining the abnormality of the capacity of the storage battery supplying DC power to an inverter converting DC power to AC power and supplying the converted AC power to a motor generating power for moving a mechanical load, and restricts the movement of the motor, controls the inverter when the DC power is supplied to the inverter from only the storage battery, supplies the current from the storage battery to the motor in such a state that the motor is stopped although the current flows through the motor, detects a terminal voltage of the storage battery to output it as a voltage detection value, compares the voltage detection value with a reference voltage value, and performs an operation to determine that the capacity of the storage battery is abnormal when the voltage detection value is not more than the reference voltage value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
