PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger preventing generation of erosion in a heat exchange tube in manufacturing, and reducing its manufacturing costs and weight. SOLUTION: Header tanks 2, 3 of a condenser as the heat exchanger are composed of cylindrical bodies respectively having a brazing filler metal layer at least on an outer face, and composed of a header tank main body 10 having a plurality of tube insertion holes 12, and closing members 11 for closing both end openings of the header tank main body 10. Recessed grooves extending in the longitudinal direction, exist on a face to which corrugated fin 5 of the heat exchange tube 4 of the condenser are brazed. Two weld beads 13 are formed over the entire length of the header tank main body 10 on both sides in the ventilation direction of the tube insertion holes 12. The weld beads 13 are composed of a material having a melting point higher than the brazing filler metal used in the brazing filler metal layer of the outer face of the header tank main body 10.
