PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oral cavity cleaning member and a method of cleaning inside the oral cavity, especially on the teeth surface, and whitening the surface of the teeth discolored by somberness and yellowing. SOLUTION: The oral cavity cleaning member and instrument are provided with an aggregated foam body having cells opened to the surface; and are characterized in that the compression set of the aggregated foam body is 15-60%, the diameter of the cell is 100-500μm, the thickness of the cell wall is 50-200μm, the density is 0.4-1.0 g/cm<SP>3</SP>, and the durometer E hardness is 10-70.
