The vehicle has an unlocking mechanism (EM) for unlocking a door (F). A sensor device (SE) e.g. infrared camera, produces and outputs sensor signal as a reaction on an object in a vehicle environment. A control device (STE) is equipped such that an authorization dialog is automatically triggered between a transmission/receiving device (SEE) and a portable authorization element based on the sensor signal. A signal output device outputs optically or acoustically sensible authorization signal by an effective completion of the authorization dialog.
