A purification process of polytetramethylene glycol is provided to efficiently remove a heteropolyacid catalyst, to collect the heteropolyacid catalyst with a simple process, and to obtain polytetramethylene glycol with high purity without the use of separate solvent for removing a catalyst. A purification process of polytetramethylene glycol using a heteropoly acid as a catalyst is to separate a heteropoly acid by adsorbing the heteropoly acid by passing the mixed phase consisting of polytetramethylene glycol, organic solvent and heteropoly acid through an electrode capillary tube made of a plurality of electrode bundles.
