<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode active material of high capacity, excellent charge/discharge cycle characteristics, and at the same time with little degradation during preservation, and to provide a positive electrode and a nonaqueous electrolyte battery using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The cathode 21 has a positive electrode active material.
