摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation apparatus capable of accurately calculating the position of a vehicle. SOLUTION: A CPU 101, after determining that the vehicle 10 comes into a parking space entrance, determines whether the vehicle 10 revolves in the same place when the vehicle 10 is assumed to travel on the same plane based on the travel trajectory of the calculated vehicle 10. When the vehicle 10 is determined to revolve in the same place, the CPU 101 specifies the shape of the travel trajectory (turn trajectory) where the vehicle 10 revolves based on the calculated travel trajectory. The CPU 101 calculates which point on the turn trajectory the vehicle 10 exists based on the turn start point, using the travel distance (turning travel distance) of the vehicle 10 from the point (turn start point) where the vehicle 10 starts the revolution (turn). The CPU 101, when calculating the position of the vehicle 10 on the turn trajectory, calculates the tangential direction of the turn trajectory at the calculated position as a traveling direction of the vehicle 10.
