PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emission display device which can realize enriched display patterns at a lower cost by carrying out a novel performance display unavailable in the prior art using a surface light emitting body. SOLUTION: A rear light guide plate 72 which makes a surface emission by reflecting light emitted from its end face side with a rear light emitting body 81 to its front side is arrayed on the side of the back surface of a translucent display sheet 71 with a display picture figure 91 shown on it. A front lightguide plate 70 has a carved picture figure 92 with a convex-concave array formed on its back surface and is arranged ahead of the display sheet 71 so as to make the light emitted from the side of the back surface pass through to its front side while the convex-concave array of the carved picture figure 92 reflects the light emitted from its end face side with a front light emitting body 82 to the front side, thereby allowing the carved picture figure 92 to be visually recognized from the front side.
