REMOTE CONTROLLER OFFERING MENU AND METHOD THEREOF

A remote controller providing a menu and a method for providing the menu are provided to enable a user to control a plurality of external devices through one remote controller by offering a control menu for controlling the devices according to a clasp direction. A remote controller providing a control menu comprises the followings: a display unit(130); the first display unit(131) formed on one side of the remote controller; the second display unit(132) is formed on the other side of the remote controller; a detection sensor(110) sensing the clasped direction of the remote controller; a controller(120) displaying a control menu for one of external devices according to the clasped direction; a gravity sensor(111) sensing a display unit facing the upper side of the remote controller among the first and second display units; a terrestrial magnetism sensor(112) sensing the clasped direction which the front end of the remote controller faces; and a storage unit(140) storing the control menus for each of external devices.
