PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device capable of easily searching for a remote controller 9 even in the situation where sounds are being outputted from a speaker 15. SOLUTION: The electronic device with remote control function comprises a device main body 1 and a remote controller 9 that transmits a remote control signal to the device main body 1. The device main body 1 comprises a locator transmission unit 17 for transmitting a locator signal to the remote controller 9, besides the remote controller 9 comprises a locator receiving unit 94 for receiving the locator signal sent from the device main body 1, and a sound generating unit 96 that operates in response to reception of the locator signal. The device main body 1 comprises an audio signal processing unit 16 for supplying an audio signal to a speaker 15 and a control unit. The control unit sets to zero or reduces a level of the audio signal to be supplied to the speaker 15 during at least a part of a term in which the sound generating unit 96 of the remote controller 9 may operate in response to the reception of the locator signal in a state where the device main body 1 is operating.
