PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a setting value such as a photographing condition to a default value by pressing a button and to restore the previous setting value by pressing the same button again, and to allow a user to easily recognize whether the default value has been set in this case. SOLUTION: In a digital camera for photographing by setting parameters on photographing conditions, a currently set parameter is stored in memory when a button is pressed, parameters on photographing conditions are set to prescribed values, and the effect that parameters set to prescribed values are displayed. When the button is pressed again, the parameters stored in memory are set and the display is erased.
