PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide solid soap and a manufacturing method for it which uses no chemical antiseptic/disinfectant for safety and harmlessness to both of a human body and an environment and exhibits high detergency and excellent sterilization and deodorant characteristics. SOLUTION: The solid soap is molded by kneading complex particles of a photocatalyst material and apatite with a soap base material obtained by mixing natural oil and fat and caustic soda together. In this way, the apatite adsorbs hazardous chemical substances, malodorous substances, bacterium and the like, and the photocatalyst degrades and eliminates them. By this cooperative action, a large quantity of hazardous chemical substances can be surely removed by slight light, and high cleaning effect and excellent sterilization and deodorant effect can be exhibited until the end since the action is not lowered.
