PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a vehicle capable of suppressing impact from being applied to a motive power input means from a drive shaft and preventing uncomfortable sense from being given to an occupant when a parking lock means is operated to a release position. SOLUTION: In order to stop a hybrid vehicle on a slope, a brake device is turned "ON" and a shift lever is shifted to a parking position P to operate the parking lock means to the release position. Subsequently, when the brake device is turned "ON" in the state that twisting torque is generated on the drive shaft when the brake device is turned "OFF", brake force of the brake device is controlled based on the indirectly detected twisted amount of the drive shaft.
