<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery with high reliability, an electrode for a battery capable of constituting a battery, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode for a battery has an active material-containing layer formed on either or both faces of a collector. At least one of the ends parallel in a length direction of the collector is an active material-containing layer non-forming part where the active material-containing layer is not formed, and at least part of the active material-containing layer non-forming part is the electrode for a battery coated with an electric insulation coating having a heat resistance of 200°C or more. Further, the battery has a wound-around electrode group constituted of a cathode, an anode, and a separator contained in a battery container, and at least either the cathode or the anode is the electrode for the battery, made up by welding a collector plate for collecting electricity of the electrode for the battery and the active material-containing layer non-forming part of the electrode for the battery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
