PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable apparatus capable of shortening the axial length of a push button. SOLUTION: A wrist watch (portable apparatus) 11 includes a watch casing (apparatus casing) 12 having a through hole 32, a pipe 35, a push button 25, a coil spring 45, and a ring-like packing 41. The pipe 35 is formed by integrating an outer arrangement cylinder section 37 having a spring receiving surface 37b in an insertion cylinder section 36. The insertion cylinder section 36 is inserted into the through hole 32, and the pipe 35 is fixed to the watch casing 12. The outer arrangement cylinder section 37 is arranged out of the watch casing 12. The push button 25 has a removal stop member 27 that is attached to a shaft section 26 movably penetrating the pipe 35 and stops the removal of the shaft section 26 from the pipe 35, and an operation head 28 disposed in the shaft section 26. The coil spring 45 for biasing the push button 25 outside the watch casing 12 is gripped by the operation head 28 and the spring receiving surface 37b. The packing 41 for sealing the gap between the pipe 35 and push button 25 is attached to one of the pipe 35 and the push button 25 concentrically with the coil spring 45 within the range of the height L of the coil spring 45.
