PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper whose vibration damping property can be improved. SOLUTION: As the damper is provided with a cylinder 1, a piston 2 for separating inside of the cylinder 1 into a chamber R1 and another chamber R2, a passage 4 for connecting the chamber R1 with the other chamber R2, a valve 5 for opening and closing the passage 4 and a valve driving part 6 for sensing a pressure of the chamber R1 and a pressure of the other chamber R2 with time delay and applying a thrust force in a direction to open the passage 4 to the valve 5 when the pressure of the delayed chamber R1 and the other chamber R2 are different, it is possible to mitigate phase delay of pressure change for an expansion/contraction speed change in the damper by opening the passage 4 with time delay for differential pressure change of the chamber R1 and the other chamber R2.
