PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vernier caliper case which is arranged at a site for using a vernier caliper, capable of protecting the vernier caliper from an external condition such as dust, vibration, and moisture, and convenient for handling. SOLUTION: An elevating/lowering support plate having supporting means for supporting a vernier caliper is arranged inside the case body provided with an opening/closing lid with a back part thereof being a supporting point while the upper surface thereof is opened. The direction support plate is urged upwardly by a spring, and provided with an attachable/detachable lock means to be locked and stored in the case body when the elevating/lowering support plate is at the lowered position. The elevating/lowering support plate is elevated by opening the lock means. When the elevating/lowering support plate is elevated, the lid is opened, a part of the elevating/lowering support plate projects from an upper end of the case body, and the vernier caliper supported by the elevating/lowering support plate is exposed upwardly from the case body.
