PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of effectively radiating heat generated inside a sidewall part, in addition to effective reduction of road noise. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire is formed by arranging a belt-like sound absorbing layer 11 composed of a porous material on an inner surface of an inner liner 10. The pneumatic tire is characterized in that the sound absorbing layer 10 has a thick part 13 having a relatively large thickness and a thin part 14 having a thickness smaller than the thick part 13, and the thin part 14 passes through a tire maximum width position 12.
