<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insert/pull out apparatus for the long-sized treating element of an endoscope which reduces the possible catching of the treating element between feed rollers. <P>SOLUTION: The insert/pull out apparatus for the long-sized treating element of the endoscope is provided with a pair of feed rollers which feed the long-sized treating element to be inserted into or pulled out of a treating instrument insertion channel of the endoscope and a drive system which drives at least one of the pair of feed rollers to rotate reversibly. The rollers of the pair of feed rollers are separated to be kept from contacting to each other and the long-sized treating element is provided with a fine-diameter tip wire-like part with the diameter thereof less than the separation interval of the pair of feed rollers and a large-diameter wire-like part contacting the pair of feed roller following the fine-diameter tip wire-like part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
