A system and a method for controlling event notification are provided to control the amount of event notification, transmitted to a subscriber, according to preference of the subscriber. In a system for controlling event notification based on SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) With reference to preference of a subscriber, the system comprises the followings. The subscriber requests event subscribe via an event notification controller. A subscription target performs event notification via the even notification controller in correspondence with the event subscribe request. The event notification controller controls whether to transmit the event notification for the subscriber according to preference rules for the event notification. |
