Antifouling material and production method thereof

A material is made up of a substrate provided with a titanium oxide based coating surmounted by a thin hydrophilic layer. The hydrophilic layer forms at least a part of the external surface of the material and does not comprise titanium oxide. The hydrophilic layer is susceptible to creating, in the presence of ambient humidity and due to the underlying presence of titanium oxide, a hydration layer less dense than that of liquid water. Independent claims are also included for : (1) the production of this material; (2) glazing or display screen incorporating this material.
