A cushion of the side air bag is provided to improve the passenger protection function by improving the thickness and rigid structure of the chamber. A cushion of the side air bag comprises the first chamber(2) connected to inflator; the second chamber(4) which is extended to the top of the first chamber and spreads; and third chamber(6) which is extended to the top of the second chamber and spreads. The second chamber is smaller than the first and third chamber. One or more first chamber hole(4A) is formed in the lower part of the second chamber in order to connect with the first chamber and one or more second chamber hole(4B) is formed in the lower part of the second chamber in order to connect with the third chamber.
