A method for recognizing an article equipped with an RFID(Radio Frequency ID) tag in a digital RFID balance and the digital RFID balance thereof are provided to reduce unnecessary weighing by displaying weigh of the article equipped with the RFID tag through information of the RFID tag and a provider server. A balance unit(110) measures weight of an article. An ADC(Analog Digital Converter)(120) converts an analog signal received from the balance unit into a digital signal. An RFID receiver(130) receives an RFID signal from an RFID tag attached to article. A controller(150) computes the signal received from each component, and outputs a signal for displaying, printing, and communicating information related to the article and the recognized RFID tag.
