<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for improving maintenance and inspection practices of a suction nozzle changing device which selectively positions one of a plurality of suction nozzles at a normal use position, and surface mounting equipment and component testing equipment equipped with the same device. <P>SOLUTION: A support shaft 84 is fitted to a holder 83 to support a nozzle assembly block 85 with the support shaft 84. The support shaft 84 can be inserted into and extracted from the nozzle assembly block 85. Further, a freely engageable/disengageable key member 114 is provided at one end portion of the support shaft 84. The key member 114 is engaged with the support shaft 84 to restrict extraction of the support shaft 84 and is moved along an X axis to be disengaged to enable the support shaft 84 to be extracted.
