PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device and an imaging method, with a white balance correction means which will not cause color shifts in an image as a whole, and will not require time for imaging. SOLUTION: The imaging device is such that an imaging signal divided into lattice-shape blocks, has target pixels and non-target pixels: it consist of two or more pixels and is provided with a first correction coefficient acquisition means which acquires a first correction coefficient which is set to the target pixels; a second correction coefficient acquisition means which acquires a second correction coefficient which is set to the non-target pixels; and a white balance correction means which performs white balance correction to the target pixels, based on the first correction coefficient and performs white balance correction for the non-target pixels, based on the second correction coefficient: the first correction coefficient acquisition means acquires the first correction coefficient based on the white balance evaluation value: and the second correction coefficient acquisition means acquires the second correction coefficient, based on interpolation by a distance between the non-target pixel which acquires the second correction coefficient and the peripheral target pixels, and the first correction coefficients of the peripheral pixels.
