摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the light utilization efficiency of a high-voltage discharge lamp without using a sub-mirror or an auxiliary mirror even if a reflection mirror is miniaturized.

SOLUTION: In a path of reflecting a part of light emitted forward and backward from a light emitting section (4) in a predetermined angle range at a concave reflection mirror (3) and irradiating it on a focusing area (11in) of a predetermined size formed in front of the lamp, an annular prism face (12S) is formed on the circumferential face of the light emitting section (4) to totally reflect at least a part of light which has not been reflected by the concave reflection mirror (3) out of the light emitted from the light emitting section (4) toward the focusing area (11in).
