PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of input/output wiring connected to input/output terminals of a semiconductor integrated circuit so as to simplify wiring pattern of the input/output wiring, thereby improving flexibility in the wiring pattern thereof. SOLUTION: A liquid display device includes a liquid crystal display panel and a semiconductor integrated circuit which performs the drive control of the liquid crystal display panel. The liquid crystal display panel is equipped with a pair of insulating substrates, and the semiconductor integrated circuit is mounted on one insulating substrate of the pair thereof. The semiconductor integrated circuit includes a mode terminal fixed to supply potential or reference potential during the operation of the semiconductor integrated circuit; and a power dummy terminal connected to the supply potential or the reference potential in the semiconductor integrated circuit. The mode terminal is connected to the power dummy terminal through the wiring pattern formed on the pair of insulating substrates. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
