PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a smooth discharging work by aligning the discharging and deposition posture of a small paper sheet P1. SOLUTION: A paper sheet P1 of small size stored in a second paper feed tray 30 at the advanced position is discharged into a space between a discharged paper receiving unit 31 behind the second paper feed tray 30 and a rear part of a first paper feed tray 3 therebelow via a U-turn path from a recording unit. A supporter 45 for supporting a part on the downstream side in the discharging direction of the paper sheet P1 when located across the discharged part receiving unit 31 and the rear part in the first paper feed tray is formed of an elastic plate with its free end side 45b being urged in an upwardly projecting manner. The supporter 45 is arranged in a moving path of a rear guide 41. When the rear guide 41 is retracted, the supporter 45 is restricted by the rear guide and pressed in an approaching manner to a bottom plate 3a of the first paper feed tray 3. When the rear guide 41 is advanced, the supporter 45 is unrestricted from the rear guide, the free end side 45b of the supporter 45 is upwardly projected, and a fore end in the discharging direction of the paper sheet P1 is supported thereby.
